SIIMT University College (“SIIMT”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of prospective students, students, staff and visitors to this website. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
Information we collect
- Application and registration data — name, contact details, ID and academic records you submit through our forms.
- Payment data — payments are made through SIIMT’s online student system, not on this website, and are processed by our payment provider; SIIMT does not store card details.
- Enquiry data — information you provide when you contact us by form, phone or email.
- Website usage data — standard analytics such as pages viewed and general location, collected to improve the site.
How we use it
- To assess and process applications and registrations;
- To administer fees, scholarships and student records;
- To respond to enquiries and provide student support;
- To meet accreditation and regulatory obligations (GTEC, UCC, CTVET, CSA);
- To send you information about your application or programme.
Sharing
We share personal data only where necessary: with the University of Cape Coast and regulators for accreditation and awards, with our payment processor for transactions, and with service providers who help us run the college under confidentiality terms. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
We keep application and student records for as long as needed for academic, legal and accreditation purposes, then securely delete or anonymise them.
Your rights
Under Act 843 you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or object to certain uses. To make a request, contact info@siimtuni.edu.gh.
