Mr. Sonavane began by discussing the digital revolution and how technology is reshaping every industry, from agriculture and education to healthcare and business. He emphasised the need for Ghana’s youth to not just be users of technology, but creators and innovators.
“Technology is not just about coding or computers—it’s a language of the future. Understanding Cyber Security, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence will give you a powerful advantage,” he said.
He further explained that the ability to adapt and grow in a tech-driven world starts with early awareness and practical exposure, which is what SIIMT University College aims to provide through its programs.
Showcasing Ghana’s Premier Indian IT College
The students were introduced to the vision, mission, and achievements of SIIMT University College, which has been operating in Ghana since 2013 and is affiliated with the University of Cape Coast (UCC). Mr. Sonavane highlighted how the college offers practical-based training, ensuring that students graduate with real-world, job-ready skills in the fields of IT, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Data Science, and more.

He elaborated on the curriculum structure, mentorship programs, and industry projects that make SIIMT’s graduates highly employable both in Ghana and internationally.

Beyond just information, the Orientation Nungua SHS June 2025 event was full of motivational moments. Mr. Sonavane inspired students to dream big, stay curious, and start building digital skills today.
Students were encouraged to ask questions, and a Q&A session followed, during which several students participated boldly. Those who took the initiative to answer or ask insightful questions were rewarded with gifts—a gesture that added energy and excitement to the program.
“Success in IT starts with asking the right questions,” Mr. Sonavane reminded the crowd.

In a particularly exciting announcement, SIIMT University College revealed that scholarships would be available to students from Nungua SHS who demonstrate passion and potential in technology-related fields.
The goal is to support underrepresented and talented youth with the financial backing they need to pursue diplomas, short courses, or degrees in IT disciplines.
